The driver of a car was sent to the hospital after their vehicle was struck by a Corpus Christi police department patrol car.
The incident happened around 8:00 p.m. Saturday near the 1000 block of Buford near Staples Street.
According to Corpus Christi Police Capt. James Lerma, an officer was responding to an emergency call when his vehicle collided with another car.
The driver of the other vehicle was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. Police said the driver of the other car didn’t sustain any life-threatening injuries.
Investigators told KRIS 6 News an investigation is underway on the circumstances of the crash. Police said they are still determining which party was at fault.
No charges have been filed so far.
