A man was sent to a hospital after police say he was struck by a pickup truck.
The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the 4700 Block of Leopard Street.
Police say the man was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Lieutenant David Saldana, with the Corpus Christi police department, said, “People really need to pay attention to the roadway. The is no way the pedestrian couldn’t have been seen.”
Lt. Saldana also said the area where the man was hit by the pickup truck was well lit.
Police say they are still investigating the crash and charges could be pending.
Investigators also added the pedestrian was not in the crosswalk when he was hit.
