Police looking to identify suspected bank robber

Corpus Christi Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of robbing a local bank on Christmas Eve.

 

According to police, a masked man went in to the American Bank at 5100 South Padre Island Drive at about 11 a.m. on Dec. 24, walked up to a teller and demanded money.

 

The teller complied, giving the man an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect drove away in what appears to be a gray Chevrolet Impala, police said.

 

Police say the man is dark complected, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighs approximately 250 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue warm up pants with stripes on the side and gloves.
