For the ones who assist in saving and rehabilitating sea turtles with the Texas State Aquarium, recording manual hand-written, data can be a challenge.

That is where business students from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi came in to help with their capstone projects.

A team of Islanders came up with an app for the aquarium to efficiently speed up of the intake process of the animals and get them into the aquarium’s care as quickly as possible.

The app can also help find the best location to release these turtles, as well as monitor their temperatures and weight.

At TAMUCC, this course incorporated what these students learned while studying on the business track.

The final project needed to help give back to the community.
