Former 148th District Court Judge Guy Williams hired a new attorney, Chris Gale, to represent him.
In May, Williams was charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest.
On Nov. 8, officers responded to a disturbance call at the Island Villa Apartment Homes on Nile Drive.
According to the arrest report, Guy Williams was asked to take a field sobriety test and refused.
Officers also found three loaded guns in Williams’ vehicle.
Williams was charged with DWI and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
He remains in the Nueces County Jail without bond.
