The AMC Movie Theater has been mice-free for the last two weeks.

Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District’s Public Information Officer Noelia Rodriguez said health inspectors have been conducting weekly walkthroughs of the movie complex.  Their reports indicate there hasn’t been any mice activity found in the facility in the last two weeks.

The theater, located on the 5200 block of Silverberry Drive, had a problem with field mice. On Oct. 3, the City-County Health Department forced the theater to shut down until they could get rid of the rodents inside the facility.

AMC Theater reopened its complex five days later. Since then, health inspectors have visited the complex at least once a week.

They’ve told theater officials if they encounter any more issues with mice, they must close the area where any rodent droppings are found.
