Police say a suspicious package left at a Southside post office this weekend was a fake bomb.
A man who was going to send off mail discovered the device Saturday night.
CCPD Bomb squad called after suspicious package found inside post office
Investigators said the package had wires coming out of it, so they called in members with the Corpus Christi Bomb Squad.
The bomb squad team deployed their robot to get a closer look.
The devices were collected and later determined at another location the device contained batteries, an LED light but it didn’t have any explosives.
