A woman is safe this morning after being robbed at gunpoint overnight by a man who had his face covered, according to officers with the Corpus Christi Police Department.
Just before 4 a.m., officers say a man walked into a business on the 4500 block of Kostoryz with a gun and robbed a young woman who was closing the store.
“We were told that it was an assault-type rifle,” Senior Officer Billy Gaines with the Corpus Christi Police Department said.
The man got away with a small amount of cash and some of the woman’s personal items, Gaines said. One other person was inside the business at the time and was also uninjured.
The man then left of foot and was last seen headed north on Kostoryz.
The man is described as a 5 feet 6 inch to 5 feet 8 inch tall man weighing 145-155 pounds. He had his face covered and was wearing a white hoodie with gloves, Gaines said.
