Despite the rainy weather, the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk was a success.
KRIS Communications was the proud media sponsor for this event hosted by the American Cancer Society. We’d like to thank everyone who took part.
The official numbers are not in yet but an estimated 11,000 people took part in this year’s walk.
Participants helped raise about $275,000. That money stays right her in our community to fund breast cancer research and programs to save lives.
If you raised money for the walk but weren’t able to make it to Saturday morning’s event, you can still submit your donation to the American Cancer Society. Their office is located at 210 South Carancahua Suite 301.
Once again, thank you for helping in the fight to stop this potentially deadly disease.
