Man still wanted in connection to deadly shooting at child’s birthday party

Investigators with the DPS are still searching this morning for a man they believe was involved in the shooting that killed four people and left another injured at a child’s birthday party in Taft.

37-year-old Ronnie Rodriguez Sr. is wanted in connection with the shooting that happened Saturday night. Investigators say an argument between two families led up to the shooting. Five people, ages 20 to 60 years old, were shot. Four died.

Authorities arrested 20-year-old Ronnie Rodriguez Jr. on a deadly conduct charge Sunday in connection to the shooting. He was released on bond Monday.
