Laredo Border Patrol Agents are once again headed to Florida to provide law enforcement and rescue assistance in the wake of Hurricane Michael.

Agents from the Laredo Sector Mobile response Team deployed on Wednesday in a joint effort between numerous federal, state and local agencies.

“The Border Patrol is there to assist the Florida region after the destruction of Hurricane Michael,” said Chief Patrol Agent Felix Chavez.  “The Mobile Response Team from the Laredo Sector Border Patrol and agents from the Special Operations Group have deployed to assist and lend their expertise and provide assistance in the areas where it is needed most.”

Laredo Sector Agents deployed last month to assist in Hurricane Florence recovery efforts and were also deployed to Houston in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
