Students around the world gathered to pray for the annual “See You at the Pole” Day.
Locally, dozens of students and parents of all faiths gathered at the flag pole at Windsor Park Elementary.
They recited a prayer composed by the students. Then, they read a passage from the bible and sang.
The students we spoke with said they enjoyed this morning’s prayer service.
Luke Tarske, a third grader from Windsor Park Elementary, said he enjoyed coming together to pray.
“I thought it was great. It makes me feel happy that we get together and we don’t argue in what we believe in,” Tarske said.
“See You at the Pole” began in 1990 as a grassroots movement in the United States. It has now turned into a worldwide event that is held on the fourth Wednesday in September.
