The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Oso Creek until “late tonight or until the warning is cancelled.”
The Reverse Alert system issued a call to residents just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday. The alert states that the Oso Creek is at moderate flood stage, and is expected to rise.
As of 6:15 a.m., the Oso Creek was at 20.2 feet. 20 feet is considered moderate flood stage.
The warning states that flooding will continue and the creek is expected to rise to 21 feet later this morning.
The NWS statement says all persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect life and property.
