CCPD: Man arrested after firing gun outside gentleman’s club

Corpus Christi police were called to a gentleman’s club after getting calls about a man firing a gun.

The shooting happened around 6:30 Monday evening near the intersection of Treyway Lane and Williams Drive.

According to police, the suspect caused a disturbance inside a gentleman’s club. They said he was also intoxicated.

Police said the suspect was struggling to leave and when he went outside, he pulled out a handgun.

An officer says the suspect fired one gunshot into the air.

Police arrived at the scene and quickly apprehended the man. Detectives added they are still looking to see what started the incident and charges are pending.

Investigators added the suspect does not appear to be a Corpus Christi resident since he drove an 18-wheeler to the location with out of state license plates.

No one was injured during the shooting.
