Corpus Christi police say they believe alcohol may have played a factor in a three-vehicle crash.
The collision happened around 8:45 pm Sunday night along Staples Street near the Holly intersection.
Police say several people were injured when a speeding red track slammed into vehicles that were waiting at a red light. Police added they had non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital to be checked out. Police say he could face DWI charges when he is released from the hospital.
Investigators say the man could face other charges after their investigation is complete.
