UPDATE: Investigators say the man found in a local library parking lot overnight with a gunshot wound accidentally shot himself. The man is facing charges of drug possession after responding officers found meth on him.
A man was found in the parking lot of a local library with a gunshot wound overnight as police are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The 32-year-old man was found in a parking lot on the 4000 block of Greenwood in the parking lot of the Ben F. McDonald Public Library just after midnight with a gunshot wound.
Officers say they recovered a handgun at the scene but do not have any suspects at this time.
The man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
