New wing opening at Haas Middle School with start of school year

CORPUS CHRISTI – Voters approved a $194 million dollar bond project in 2016. Some of those funds helped pay for the expansion of Haas Middle School.

These funds also allowed the school to build a new wing on the campus.

Haas Middle School has added 17 new classrooms, including an updated computer lab and two new science labs.

With this expansion comes new security measures heightening security.

The campus front office is enclosed with safety glass with visitors required to check in at the front desk. Guests will be allowed into the school if an administrator buzzes them for access.

Haas also will feature new bathrooms and a new band hall.

Teachers are excited because they will also have a new workroom and new lockers will be installed. Still much work remains.
