A woman accused of driving the getaway car in the murder of a Corpus Christi teenager has pleaded guilty.

Christina Trevino was charged with capital murder in the death of 13-year-old Alex Torres. Today, she pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of retaliation, a second-degree felony.

Investigators say Trevino drove David Davila to the Treyway Terrace Apartments in January 2015 where Davila allegedly shot and killed Torres. Trevino then allegedly drove Davila from the scene before police arrived.

According to police, Davila was looking for an ex-girlfriend and mistakenly shot Torres when he answered the front door.

Trevino is scheduled to be sentenced in October and could face up to 20 years in prison.

The case against Davila is scheduled to go to trial in September.
