Authorities have identified the woman who was killed last week on Slough Road in south Corpus Christi.
According to the Nueces County Medical Examiner’s office, 48-year-old Brenda King died from a single gunshot wound to the head.
King’s body was discovered on Thursday by a passing motorist on Slough Road, near Kolda Elementary School.
Corpus Christi Police believe King was killed in the same area where her body was recovered.
