CORPUS CHRISTI – A man in his sixties was sent to the hospital after his car crashed into a ditch.
The incident happened along Leopard Street near Callicoatte Road before 7:00 am Saturday morning.
According to police, the man had stayed up all night cooking brisket at the VFW Post in Calallen. Saturday morning, police say they believe the man fell asleep and ran off of the roadway and his car went into a ditch.
Police say the driver was not intoxicated.
The man was transported to Northwest Hospital in Calallen.
