In early April 2018, Congressman Blake Farenthold resigned. Congressman Cloud won a special election in late June and took over Farenthold’s Corpus Christi office three weeks ago.

Congressman Cloud visited his office at 101 Shoreline Boulevard Thursday morning. He said he’s ready to help the community, but he’s encountered a minor hurdle. Cases filed by Farenthold’s staff don’t automatically transfer into his office.

Due to privacy laws, he can’t work on those cases unless he has the constituent’s permission.

“For the veterans who were dealing with cases, for the people with FEMA issues and those kind of things, passports or whatever you need help with from your congressional office. If your case was in process, we’re in the process of reaching out to you and getting permission in a sense to carry on that casework.”

The Congressman says if you call his office, he can expedite your case. To contact Congressman Cloud’s office, call 361-884-2222. His office, located at 101 North Shoreline Boulevard,  is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.
