A man was stabbed several times this morning and police are currently searching for the person responsible.
Just before 6 a.m., officers were called to the 3000 block of Port Avenue in reference to a stabbing. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been stabbed at least 8 times in the torso, officials on scene said. He was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
Officers said the suspect fled the scene on foot. They were able to get a description from the victim, who said the suspect is a white male with a mullet-style haircut.
Crime scene investigators are on scene gathering evidence. We will update this story as more information comes in.
