Local non-profit Catholic Charities has a new executive director.
Kevin Branson served in the U.S. Navy for nine years and had been practicing law in Michigan prior to moving to the Corpus Christi area.
Branson says he and his wife Jennifer have been very involved with their church back home and felt a strong calling to work with a non-profit like Catholic Charities so they decided to make the move.
Branson said “I don’t really look at this as just a job. I look at this as an opportunity to serve God and his Church and that’s ultimately why we came here.”
While this is only his first week on the job, he’s already planning ahead.
Branson says he wants to really get to know his new community and find more ways Catholic Charities and the Mother Theresa shelter can help more people.
