CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A 19-year-old man remains in jail after being arrested in connection with a shooting Wednesday afternoon.
Brendan Moreno remains jailed after being charged with several crimes including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, evading arrest and resisting arrest. His bonds total $206,000, police said.
Corpus Christi police say they don't have an update in connection with the condition of the victims in the shooting.
CCPD received a report of a gunshot victim at the Fountains Apartments at about 3 p.m., and then a second call to the Christus Promptu Urgent Care clinic at 4938 S. Staples in The Shops at La Palmera, where they found a teen Hispanic man had been shot in the right shoulder.
Capt. David Cook said that the wound appears to be non-life-threatening, and that the teen said he doesn't know who shot him.
A second teen victim was found at the apartment complex with a gunshot wound to the leg.
"When (officers) got on-scene they determined that we had two victims," Cook explained, "A victim at the urgent care with a wound to his chest area, and then another juvenile male here at the scene who had a wound to his leg."
Both teens were transported to Bay Area hospital for treatment.
