For those who assist in saving and rehabilitating sea turtles with the Texas State Aquarium, recording manual handwritten data can be a challenge.

That is when business students from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi came in to help with one of their capstone projects.

A team of students developed an app for the aquarium to efficiently speed up of the intake process of the animals and get them into the aquarium’s care as quickly as possible.

The app can also help find the best location to release these turtles, as well as monitor their temperatures and weight.

At TAMU-CC, this course was incorporated with what these students have learned while studying on the school’s business track.

The final project needed to help give back to the community.
