Charity League of Corpus Christi has chosen the USO of South Texas as the benefactor of their money raising efforts this year.

Charity League is a local nonprofit, comprised of 40 local ladies, who raise funds all year round and give those funds to one charity.

Every year, they choose a different charity and this year the USO will receive their generous help.

Tricia Vela, the league’s president says “We are going to renovate the second floor of the USO building there on the base of NAS Corpus Christi.”

Today, Julian Gold announced Alice + Olivia will be the featured designer of this year’s fashion show which will be held Thursday, February 21, 2019, at the American Bank Center.

Every year, Charity League and Julian Gold partner up to put on an amazing fashion show that serves as the culmination of all the fund raising efforts.

Last year, the ladies raised $275,000 for Hope House, a non profit that helps women who are pregnant or expecting. Hope house is using the money to build more space. They help women by providing a place to live but also by teaching them structure and how to get on their own two feet.

Charity League has been raising funds annually for local charitable projects for over 80 years.
