San Patricio County issued a "Stay at Home order" that will go into effect by midnight tonight.
Residents must stay home beginning tonight through April 13. Unless the travel is deemed essential, residents have been ordered to stay at home between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m..
We stopped by some area businesses to see how they're handling the order.
"This was the first day we were all here on a Sunday because we're not going to be working this coming week," said Loren Snell of Liberty Motors. "We're gonna stay open. We're like any other small business. If you don't stay open, you can't pay the bills. We hope people will continue to come in. People need to have their cars repaired."
Again, only essential work and travel will be allowed in San Patricio County starting at midnight tonight.
