Robstown officials declare first COVID-19 case

The city will conduct its daily coronavirus conference at 5 p.m.

ROBSTOWN, TEXAS — City officials in Robstown held a news conference Wednesday afternoon discussing their first COVID-19 case.

According to a press release posted on Abel Herrero's official Facebook account, the patient is a female between the ages of 70 to 80 years old.

According to health officials, the patient has been hospitalized at a local hospital.

The Corpus Christi Nueces County Public Health District is working with health officials on contact tracing to limit further transmission.
