WASHINGTON, D.C. — Pfizer is expected to seek approval for its COVID-19 vaccine booster for teens.

The application for approval is expected to come from the FDA later this week.

If approved, teens ages 16 and 17 would be eligible to receive a Pfizer booster.

Currently, the booster is available to everyone 18 and older, six months after receiving their second Pfizer shot.
