CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Hospital stays are becoming more expensive for COVID-19 patients.

At the start of the pandemic, many insurers covered the cost of going to the hospital because of the coronavirus.

But according to the Kaiser Family Foundation, with vaccines now available, many patients are on the hook for co-pays and deductibles.

The vast majority of hospitalized COVID-19 patients are not vaccinated.
