CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Normally this time of year, Texas A-M Corpus Christi Islanders women’s basketball players are on campus taking part in off-season conditioning workouts.

But of course, the COVID-19 pandemic has changed all that

Coach Royce Chadwick has not seen his players in person for several weeks. And with the majority of his players spread out all over the country, he meets with them every week via zoom.

The meetings provide Chadwich with the opportunity to check in on their home workouts and their life in general.

Chadwick says he has received a new education on how to use his computer.

"It has been very good to see their faces and let them have some interaction as opposed to just phone calls,” Chadwick said. “So it's been good to get them all together where they have an opportunity to build a relationship."
