CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — City leaders are talking about a coronavirus vaccination center in downtown Corpus Christi early next week.
This time, the distributions would be done at the American Bank Center.
“We anticipate to receive 500 vaccinations on Monday February 1st which will be administered Tuesday February 2nd at the American Bank Center,” Corpus Christi Mayor Paulette Guajardo said.
The plan for the vaccination center all depends on more vaccines being delivered on Monday.
The fairgrounds in Robstown will also continue to serve as a mega vaccination site as well.
And Corpus Christi is announcing plans to open registration for its Saving Our Seniors program. People who qualify will be able to get the vaccine in the comfort of their own home.
It’s similar to what the city's fire department has done this week for homebound seniors.
The city says it plans on releasing more information about the program next week.
