COVID screening required by Alice for UIL participation

ALICE, Texas — Alice High School fall athletes will be required to test negatively for COVID-19 in order to participate in UIL activities.

Members of the football, volleyball, cross country and tennis teams and coaches will test from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Additional testing will be Sept. 9 for members of the Alice High School Band, the school's strutters, cheerleaders, basketball team members and make-up testing from the first day.

And on Sept. 23, tests will be given to seventh and eighth grade athletes in volleyball, football and cross country and members of the Alice High School golf team.

Information about testing for other sports or organizations like soccer, theater and choir will be done as soon as possible, school officials said.
