Two pills meant to help fight the coronavirus are getting harder to find.

They're anti-viral pills from both the Pfizer and Merck pharmaceutical companies, reserved for the most high-risk patients.

The FDA gave these pills emergency use authorization last month.

Demand for them is so high during this wave of omicron infections that both pills can take anywhere from five to eight months to manufacture.

Supply is expected to improve in the coming months.
