Second COVID-19 vaccine doses arrive in Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The state informed Corpus Christi, that the health district will receive 500 second-dose vaccines Jan. 25.

The second-dose vaccinations are for individuals who participated in the first mega vaccination clinic back on December 29.

The city has tentatively scheduled the second dose vaccination drive-thru clinic for this Friday. 11 a.m. at the Richard Borchard Fairgrounds in Robstown. The clinic is scheduled to run until 7 p.m..

The city is also anticipating 5,000 more COVID-19 vaccines for those of you still waiting for the first vaccination. If they arrive another clinic will take place Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 8 a.m., also at the fairgrounds.

These vaccinations would be for first doses to those in phase 1-A and 1-B categories.

The county will administer all the doses in one day so be prepared for long wait times.
