CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Four Corpus Christi firefighter/paramedics have returned to work after being isolated for possibly being exposed to the coronavirus.

According to a press release from the city of Corpus Christi, the four first responders were responding to a call on Saturday night, involving the care and transport of a cardiac arrest patient.

Upon arrival at the hospital doctors determined that the patient fit the criteria for COVID-19 testing.

Peter Zanoni confirmed in a news conference Monday that the patient was tested and the results came back negative for the COVID-19 virus.

The names of the patient and first responders will not be released due to privacy laws.
