ALICE, Texas — Christus Spohn Hospital Alice Associates provided lunch and school supplies to more than 100 children during a special ceremony Tuesday at the Boys and Girls Club of Alice.
Additionally, the hospital also provided the children with school supplies to add to the day of lunch and fellowship.
“We’re always honored to serve our community in any number of ways,” said Thomas McKinney, president of Christus Spohn Hospitals Alice and Kleberg. “We jump at opportunities to serve the minds, bodies and spirits of our friends and neighbors, and providing school supplies allows us to continue to serve our children each and every day throughout the school year.”
For weeks, Christus Spohn Hospital Alice Associates have solicited donated school supplies. Some of the items requested include pens and pencils, scissors, glue and hand sanitizer.
