ARANSAS PASS, Texas — Police say a female body found Tuesday evening in a tool box has been identified as Rebecca Anne Maloney, 29, of Rockport, Texas.
Tuesday just before 6 p.m. Police were sent to Rail Road Street where a witness reported a toolbox with a deceased body inside.
Police inspected the toolbox and confirmed there was a female body inside.
In an information release from the Aransas Pass Police department, they state “the female had been dead for at least several hours.” They also say she had obvious signs of injuries on her body.
The family of Maloney came forward to police with concerns about their missing relative. They were able to identify the body.
Police say at this point they have no strong leads. If you have any information,
