County Attorney Kristen Barnebey lost in yesterday's Republican primary.
In 2017, Barneby announced she would no longer prosecute cases from the Rockport Police Department.
At the time, she cited concerns about unethical behavior by one Rockport police officer.
Last May, Barneby and the Rockport Police Department began talks to work out their differences.
