NAACP plans to reproach Sons of Confederacy float at Navy/Army Night Parade

Members of the NAACP will go before the Corpus Christi City Council tomorrow to voice their concerns about a float that appeared in the Navy/Army Night Parade.

That float was sponsored by the Sons of the Confederacy.

According to a statement from the NAACP, the group wants to ask publicly elected officials a series of questions.

Among them, do elected city, county and state officials endorse the Sons of the Confederacy.

Also, the NAACP wants to ask government entities whey they are still partnering with the Buccaneer Commission which they say has no women on the board.
