Over the next few days, a congressional delegation from our area will visit the Rio Grande Valley.
Their focus will be on border security. KRIS 6 News has been given access to go along on that trip.
We’ll be joining Congressman Michael Cloud along with other congressional leaders who will be heading to the Rio Grande Valley later today.
During the visit, we’ll tour Border Patrol detention facilities for a look at the overcrowding there.
We’ll also visit checkpoints in both Falfurrias and Laredo and ride along with Border Patrol agents for a behind-the-scenes look at their day-to-day operations.
