The body of a male driver whose car crashed into the river has been recovered by police.
The accident happened just after midnight.
Police say a driver exited Interstate 37 toward Labonte Park, crashed through a barricade, and ending up in the water.
Two female passengers were able to get out of the car, but they told police they never saw the male driver get out.
Monday afternoon, police confirmed the Corpus Christi Police Department Dive team recovered the vehicle and discovered the body of the driver inside.
