Staff with TAMUCC share that over 1,160 graduates have walked the stage for the 2019 Spring Commencement.
They also add how this is by far the largest amount of graduates they have had.
Over downtown Corpus Christi, it was an exciting day at the American Bank Center as many Islanders can now think that the day’s classes, over-nighters, and finals are over as they had proceeded to walk across the stage for the 2019 Spring Commencement.
“It’s a big accomplishment, it took us a while but we did it,” says TAMUCC graduate Alexandra Allen.
These graduates were also able to share what they will take away from their college experiences.
“Learning about yourself it’s such an eye-opening experience being surrounded by so many different people that you defiantly learn so much,” says TAMUCC graduate Megan Brown.
Many on-lookers sat in the crowd who included parents, families, and friends who were proud to be apart of a ceremony that honors higher education and their loved ones have worked so hard for.
Staff with TAMUCC say there are possibilities with higher education.
“It’s hard to put into words I will say because it’s just so moving for us and we exist for this day,” says Provost Vice President of Academic Affairs Clarenda Phillips.
