Doctors recommend a second measles vaccine for those born before 1989

As the number of measles cases continues to skyrocket, some Americans may need to get another measles vaccination.

Before 1989, doctors recommended children get one dose of the measles vaccine.

That changed to a two-dose vaccination in 1989.

So what does that mean if you were born before that year?

And now, local doctors say if you haven’t had that second dose, you should get it.
