The City of Corpus Christi is inviting the community out Saturday morning at 10 am for the Salinas Park Play-For-All Playground!

The new renovations on Salinas Park include new swings, slides with ramp, shade structures and signage of Corpus Christi history.

The Play-For-All Playground at Salinas Park is the only all-inclusive Park in the Corpus Christi City limits.

“Our mission is to live, learn, and play,” says Parks and Recreation Superintendent, Lisa Oliver. “And so, live, learn and play for all persons of all ages and abilities.”

The playground has been open and parents are already happy with the newest additions. Beeville native and mom of three, Meredith Hood says, she loves the new all-inclusive playground. “I mean any chance to expose my kids to other children with different lifestyles, I love that.”

The playground was funded through the Community Development Block Grant for $520,000, according to Oliver.
Parks and Recreation did say that in their long-term plan, there is a plan to have more playgrounds like the one at Salinas Park. No locations have been set yet.
