Construction is well underway on a new apartment project on the city’s southside.
Despite all the work that has begun, a groundbreaking ceremony was held today for this project near Staples and Lipes.
It will be known as the Village at Henderson Apartments. Developers are using a tax credit from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs to help fund the construction. Because of that – some of these units will be affordable housing for those who qualify.
Construction is expected to be completed by late October or early November.
