More support is on the way for victims of human trafficking in the Coastal Bend. It’s all thanks to a recent $450,000 grant awarded to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

The money will be used to expand services for human trafficking victims, because there’s a big need for it here in the Coastal Bend.

The state of Texas reports the second highest number of human trafficking cases in the country. So this money will be used to educate and mentor victims and the community about different services offered locally. It’s the university’s way of showing their support for those who have endured these scary moments.
