The memory of the late great “Queen of Cumbia” Selena Quintanilla-Perez has been immortalized again with a new mural that has popped up south of central Houston.

Television station KTRK reports that a mural can be found at “The Arena” vintage clothing store off Washington Avenue and Shepherd Drive south of Interstate 10 in the Rice Military section.

The mural depicts Selena next to a “We Love Houston” sign. Houston’s skyline and red flowers have been added to an intense background of colors.

An artist who goes by the handle of @soder_texas on Instagram told the station they finished the artwork last weekend.

Soder also told KTRK he plans another mural close to the air in the upcoming weeks.

Selena’s memory remains strong across the state and nation.
