Spring break is officially over. And as far as the Port Aransas Police Department is concerned, it was pretty slow.
Port Aransas Police Chief Scott Burroughs tells us it was one of the slowest spring breaks he’s seen in the 11 years he’s been with the department.
Burroughs says the crowd size was about half that from previous years.
Port Aransas reported 148 arrests. Most of them were for drug or alcohol-related offenses.
