A driver badly injured in an accident on New Year’s Day has died.
The fatal accident happened early on Jan. 1. 71-year-old G.R. Serna was driving one of his loved ones to the airport when they were hit by a wrong-way driver.
Family members told KRIS-6 News that Serna was taken off life support yesterday. He had been in the hospital since the crash.
The wrong-way driver died at the scene.
